Sunday is a special day

It's the day all the gays in Utah feel safe enough to venture out of their homes.

Seriously though, it seems that wherever I go on Sunday, there are always gaggles (if that's a word) of gays around. Especially at the Gayway (Gateway).

For a few Sundays now, I've taken the kid swimming at one of the fine recreation centers in town. The first time we went, the gay aquatic swim team was practicing. (Hot gay men in Speedos? Yes, please!) This latest time there was a couple of lesbian-headed families.

Also, whenever we go to a movie or go shopping on Sunday (I know, we are SUCH heathens!) there are gays everywhere! I often joke because the Marmons are all in church so there is no one to chastise them or stare at them while they are holding hands with each other.

But I wonder why this phenomenon really exists. Does it exists in other places outside Utah?

Or maybe, there are that many gays around everyday but because of the fewer number of people out and about on Sunday, I just don't notice them as much. Or maybe, since I'm constantly hanging around gay men, I've become isolated to other gays.

Or maybe...
