Plenty of fist pumping action

Was had by all at the Death Cab For Cutie concert.

As Scott and I waited for the show to start, we played 'Gay or For Pay.' It was surprising to see the results of our people watching.

The band, of course, was amazing and full of energy throughout the entire set. I always love seeing bands get so into their music that it seems like nothing else in the whole world matters. They played amazing versions of Crooked Teeth and The Sounds of Settling. My favorite time came when they played a 10-minute+ version of Transatlanticism. By the end, the whole crowd was singing along: "I need you so much closer...So come on..." It was great.

The opening band, Mates of State, were just great. I've heard a few songs of theirs before but seeing them live was too much fun. They are a great live band and I became a bigger fan after seeing them--definitely worth checking out.

Scott wanted me to mention something about the guy in the seat in front of him was acting like his entire ass was his own personal dance floor. Yeah, I'm not really sure what he means either. (Although, I could have got it wrong).
