My Saturday Night

had planned on working on law school stuff Saturday night when Adam texted me to tell me that he and his roommates were going to the club and I should join them. At first, I didn't want to go and wanted to continue sitting at home being sad. But I knew that if I went, I'd have fun.

So I went. And I did.

We started at Adam's house with the intent of taking Trax down so we wouldn't have to drive. Of course, being with a bunch of gay men, we missed the two trains and had to run to catch the next one. Of course, since we were all a bit tipsy, we kept making inappropriate comments and laughing hysterically.

We finally got to the club--after crossing through Gateway, going to the ATM, and waiting for Tom and Stephen to pee in a vacant lot and the rest of my night went something like this:

  • Saw Josh Moon and his friend; his friend got us free drinks; we talked about politics and his friend proceeded to tell me how the Democratic party has screwed up the country.
  • Danced ON THE STAGE at the club (which I never do) AND danced ON THE PLATFORM on the stage.
  • Bought one drink out of the five I had that night.
  • Stood arm-in-arm with Adam's "straight" roommate while we watched the drag show.
  • Philosophised about life with Will.
  • Helped Chris talk to a guy he had noticed.
  • Hung out with Arlyn and Michelle (Michelle is awesome!).
  • Watched Josh Moon make out with some random guy while I danced with random guy's friend.
  • Kept asking Adam if I should go up to the guy I went to high school with and ask him if he remembered me. (I didn't).
  • Stayed until the club closed at two (which I've never done).
  • Walked to Main Street and 200 South from the club (from 500 West and 100 South) where we finally got a cab.
  • Watched part of "Pride & Prejudice" before I decided to drive home (and yes, I was a tad drunk)
  • Went to sleep at 3:30 AM and woke up at 8:30 still drunk.
What a night!
