Gay men, nerds?! Never!
Alas, my gay men ARE nerds.
Take in point, Brian. Biggest nerd you'll ever meet. He likes video games, computers, Star Wars and Star Trek, the Sci-Fi channel, and really lame movies. (See: A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) Now, if these don't scream nerd, I don't know what does.
Next, Jesse. Not only is he obsessed with adverbs, he is also obsessed with blogs. He yelled at me today for not writing today. It was very traumatic and I need a while to get over it. Look! I'm over it! Writing about his idiosyncrasies sure helps! Anyway, he HAS to write
in his blog everyday. But, the funny thing is, he doesn't write EVERYday. He writes most of his postings one day at work and changes the dates on them so it looks like he writes everyday. How deceiving! But seriously, what's the big deal if I don't write everyday?! At least I'm not being deceptive.
Jesse also really likes computers. He is the biggest computer nerd. He knows computer codes and can speak the computer-nerd speak. It's kinda like Klingon. (I bet he knows that too!) He'll start talking about some technical thing and I'm like, ok, whatever. I used to think it was my ADD that prevented me from listening but I've realized that I just don't care about these nerdy things. Ho-hum! The only thing missing is his pocket protector, which, I'm sure he had at one time and just misplaced it.
He also has a stamp collection. I actually help him with this and I can't say much since I have a coin collection. But still. Stamps?
Hey Matt! Was Jesse always this nerdy? (I have found out that Matt is also a big nerd.)
Then, of course, we have Scott and Nathan. Scott teaches math and is majoring in Economics. Math and Economics?! You can't get much nerdier. Nathan wants to be an accountant. Sorry, but, I don't know of any cute accountants who aren't nerds.
And Adam. Adam re-enacts the Civil War. Sure, I like history as much as the next person but to actually re-enact it?! Wow. Apparently, he has a whole outfit too. Double-wow.
I know that nerds are going to take over the world one day and be rich and famous. But still, it's in my genetic code to make fun of them.
And, it's so much fun!
