"What are you doing New Year's Eve?"

I know you're not doing anything. Don't lie to me.

Have you ever noticed that you do the same thing over and over and over on New Year's Eve like watch movies all night or something else that's lame?

Well, usually I have too. I've tried the last few years to not do that--I was even the assistant volunteer coordinator for First Night in 2003. Last year was one of the most fun New Year's Eve celebrations I've EVER had. (You can read all about Scott's impromptu make-out session the celebration here).

I decided after last year that in order to have an AMAZING New Year's Eve, I'm just going to have to plan my own. I'm planning on making this an annual celebration so, if you're currently in the tri-state area for New Year's Eve, stop on by!

The following is the text from my Evite. Seriously, if you can come, leave a comment.

Tired of the same old New Year's Eve Party with complete strangers and lame festivities?

Well, I can't promise much, but if you come, it'll much less lame. (I totally swear!)

This year, have some New Year's fun 70's style. Yup, that's right, we're goin' back in time to celebrate the future!

So come dressed as your favorite 70's icon or just break out those bell-bottoms (I know you have some). Celebrate with old friends & make new ones for the New Year.

Bring your favorite beverage(s) & some friends and I'll provide rest. Even if you can't stay until the clock strikes 12, stop by and at least say Hi and show us your best disco moves.

Oh, and while the 70's party attire isn't mandatory (merely suggested), having a good time is.

There's always the club, which never fails to be sordid and story-laden.
